Margherita Busetto


Margherita Busetto graduated in Violin at Music Conservatory B. Marcello in Venice in 2005, under the supervision of Maestro Stefano Zanchetta.

In 2009, she completed a two-year postgraduate course with grades 110/110.

During her carreer at the Music Conservatory she was auditioned to play in several performances as soloist with the Conservatory orchestra. In 2006 she also performed as soloist violin with Teatro La Fenice orchestra.

After completing her studies at the Music Conservatory, she attended several Masterclass courses with Stanley Dodds (Berliner Filarmoniker), Francesco Manara , Giovanni Guglielmo, Cristiano Rossi, specialising in Baroque violin with Cinzia Barbagelata and in chamber Music with Rocco Filippini at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Over the years she took part in several productions with the following music ensembles and orchestras: "I virtuosi italiani" ensemble, "Alpe Adria" International orchestra, ORV (Filarmonia Veneta orchestra), "orchestra d'archi italiana" of Mario Brunello, "Accademia di San Giorgio" orchestra of Venice, "musica a Palazzo" ensemble of Venice, philarmonic orchestra of Teatro La Fenice, philarmonic orchestra of Teatro Comunale in Bologna.

In contests and auditions, she distinguished herself and was later selected as section Violinist for Teatro Verdi of Trieste, Haydn Orchestra of Trento and Bolzano, Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, with whom she cooperates from 2007 to 2012. From 2012 she cooperates with the Orchestra of Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia.

She has played under the direction of the most famous directors: Kurt Masur, Yuri Temirkanov, Myung-Whun Jung, George Pretre, Sir. Antonio Pappano, Lorin Maazel, Jeffrey Tate, Manfred Honeck, Kent Nagano, Eliahu Inbal... collaborating with greats soloists: Joshua Bell, Janine Jansen, Lisa Batiashvili, Renaud Capuçon, Mario Brunello, Enrico Dindo, Martin Grubinger, Rudolf Buchbinder, Evgeny Kissin, Lang Lang...

With the Orchestra of Accademia Nazionale S.Cecilia she takes part in various tournées in Europe and middle East, playing in the most prestigious concert halls.
